Trek Travel’s Winter Ride Camps Combat Cabin Fever With
Endurance-Testing Cycling Experiences
Madison, WI (December 2019) — Resolve to stay fit while beating the winter doldrums with Trek Travel’s 2020 Winter Ride Camps, located in some of the top bicycling destinations in the world, including Greenville, SC; Texas Hill Country; Solvang, CA; Girona, Spain and Mallorca, Spain.
Ride camps, based in locations frequented by pro cyclists, offer diverse terrain in stunning settings. They are specially designed for intrepid cyclists who love to ride.
“Our ride camps were created for the confident, independent cyclist looking to achieve riding goals, build fitness or log big miles in a beautiful place,” says Trek Travel President Tania Burke. “They’re also a great way to get ready for the biking season especially if you live in a colder climate.”
Suited for avid cyclists who generally ride 150 to 200 miles per week, cyclists should be comfortable with climbs averaging of 3500 feet. Three-star accommodations and limited support make this an economical getaway for cyclists.
The 4-, 5- and 7-day trips include such challenges as summiting the mighty Figueroa Mountain in Santa Barbara, CA and descending alongside Sa Calobra in Mallorca, the second-deepest gorge in Europe.
