The Edgewater Spa Announces Summer-Exclusive Spa Treatments Inspired By Beer and Cider

MADISON, WI (6/21/2019) – The Spa at The Edgewater, located along the shores of Madison’s Lake Mendota, announces new seasonal spa treatments inspired by favorite summertime beverages.  Partnering with two Wisconsin brewing companies, the spa will be offering a beer-inspired facial along with a hard cider- inspired pedicure and body treatment.  The three treatments will be offered through September.

“Each summer Madison’s Edgewater offers a variety of events featuring Wisconsin’s favorite beverage,” said Kelleye Martin, director of The Edgewater Spa. “The spa wanted to get in on the action so for the past several years we have partnered with local breweries to create fun treatments inspired by beer.  Guests especially enjoy being able to taste the beverage that accompanies the treatment.”

This year, The Edgewater Spa is working with New Glarus Brewing Company and Madison-based One Barrel Brewing Company.

Strawberry Rhubarb Organic Facial

Experience an award-winning organic skin care line that delivers beautiful results.  This facial features an Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb dermafoliant, mask and serum all bursting with juicy pulp, seeks and herbs.  The active ingredients will impart health and beauty to all skin types.

Following the facial, enjoy a New Glarus Brewing Co. Strawberry Rhubarb – Wisconsin wild fruit ale that’s bright, sour and effervescent. Priced at $125 for 60-minute treatment.

Gentry’s Hard Cider Body Treatment

This invigorating treatment begins with a full body exfoliation using a Pear and Green Apple Sugar Scrub, designed to improve circulation and hydrate skin. Next, a body mask is painted on to help tighten tone and remove toxins. The grand finale is a Body Soufflé application leaving skin feeling moisturized and rejuvenated.

Following the body treatment, enjoy a Gentry’s Dry Hard Cider, made with naturally gluten-free Washington apples. This hard cider stands out by being dry and easy to drink.  Priced at $125.00 for 60-minute treatment.

Gentry’s Hard Cider Pedicure

Indulge in a refreshing pedicure. Start with a nectar milk powder soak to soften tired feet.  Then, enjoy a crisp exfoliation with a Pear and Green Apple sugar scrub.  Next, a mask quenches the skin and is followed by a Body Soufflé massage, helping replenish skins softness.

Treat your toes while enjoying a Gentry’s Hard Cider.  Priced at $65 for 60-minutes.

The Edgewater’s brew-inspired spa treatments complement Brewgrass Fridays, a summer-long series of free concerts on the hotel’s Grand Plaza in partnership with Door County Brewing Co. 

Occurring each Friday throughout the summer, Brewgrass Fridays blend Madison’s best views, brews from Wisconsin breweries and an old-fashioned Wisconsin fish fry on The Edgewater Plaza. Other fests throughout the summer include:  4^th Fest on July 4^th and Brewgrass Fest on August 30th.
