For The First time, The Home Ranch Offers Three and Four Night Stays In August

Clark, CO (5/29/2018) – For families seeking a quick getaway with the kids before the start of the school year, the 14-room Relais & Chateaux designated Home Ranch is now offering a three and four night option from August 12-26.    Traditionally, the ranch has only offered seven-night stays during the summer season which concludes August 26.

Located on 4,000 acres in Clark, Colorado, just 20 minutes from Steamboat Springs, the ranch offers guests a chance to soak in the clean mountain air and learn the cowboy way of life.  Both experienced riders and novices are paired with a horse upon arrival and spend their days improving their riding and horsemanship skills while enjoying scenic horseback rides through wildflower strewn fields and up and down rolling hills.  When not in the saddle, guests fly fish, mountain bike, hike, tour The Home Ranch’s extensive gardens and take spontaneous cooking classes with Chef Jonathon Gillespie.

Separate programs are offered for kids ages 6-12 and for teens.  Favorite activities for younger children include horseback riding classes, pond fishing, arts & crafts and scavenger hunts.  Teens can participate in a junior wrangler program where they sharpen their riding skills.  They can also take part in an overnight campout.

Off ranch activities include rock climbing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, hot air ballooning, golfing and sport clay shooting.
