New Modern, Portable Buildings Take“She Shed” To New Heights

Rice Lake, WI – –  September 18, 2019 – – ESCAPE, acclaimed for the design of tiny houses on wheels that Forbes has called “the world’s most beautiful,” has unveiled EscapeSpace – – modern portable buildings for the 21st century that can fit every lifestyle.

From she shed and man cave to yoga studio and pool house, EscapeSpace designs translate into a limitless range of personal spaces with a level of craftsmanship and architectural detail that have become ESCAPE trademarks.

“The only limit is your imagination,” says ESCAPE founder, Dan Dobrowolski. “EscapeSpace is a 21st century shed that can be placed anywhere and be used for almost anything, whether the definition of your EscapeSpace is a backyard writer’s studio or an oceanfront home office.”

Three EscapeSpace designs have been unveiled, ranging in size from 12-16  feet. Each can be delivered as a shell or custom-designed with finished interiors, electrical, plumbing and even solar-powered options for off-grid use.

Designs include:

Studio

The modern lines and design of the Studio make it perfect for work or play. It features a sustainable wood exterior with custom stain, sliding six foot patio door, LowE thermopane windows, eight foot ceilings and an open floor plan for multipurpose use. Add-on options range from a cedar front deck with bench to kitchen, sleeping & bath quarters.

Ma

The Japanese word Ma means “space” or even better, “an emptiness full of possibilities, like a promise yet to be fulfilled.” Ma is ultra-modern but tied to an ancient tradition of Zen design & craftsmanship. It has endless purposes and its clean-lined design, accentuated by clerestory windows with the option of an entire window wall, will enhance the landscape wherever it is set.

Classic

Detail is woven into every surface of the Classic. Add the optional deck and lighting, and the Classic really makes a statement. Choose the windows you want and make the unit as open or as private as you need. From a simple shell to a fully decked-out private space, you can select options to make this your own.

Unlike zoning limits placed on traditional tiny homes or RV’s, EscapeSpace buildings are portable, the legal equivalent of a shed, and therefore, can be placed on most private property.

You can choose to have your EscapeSpace crafted with high-efficiency insulation and climate control options that allow them to withstand extreme heat or cold.

If you choose to add power and/or water, usage is minimal and hook-up takes just minutes, enabling EscapeSpace buildings to be plugged in and ready for play immediately.

About ESCAPE

ESCAPE is acclaimed, both nationally and internationally, for the design of innovative portable tiny homes that blend the best characteristics of a tiny home and RV and are inspired by the Prairie-style resort cottages at Canoe Bay in northwest Wisconsin.

Canoe Bay owner, Dan Dobrowolski, enlisted the expertise of Frank Lloyd Wright, protege, John Rattenbury, and Kelly Davis (AIA) award winning architect emeritus from SALA Architects in Minneapolis, to design some of the resort cottages. ESCAPE and EscapeSpace are his realization to bring these architectural gems to the public in a smaller, portable way.
