Chicago, IL (6/15/20117) – July 4th is just around the corner.  To celebrate the occasion, three distinctive properties, located in Colorado, North Carolina  and Wisconsin, announce plans for their red, white and blue celebrations.

 

Colorado

FOURTH OF JULY FEAST AT THE HOME RANCH

North Carolina

MOUNTAIN TOP FUN AND GAMES  AT THE SWAG

Fourth of July fun is a 36-year-old tradition at The Swag in North Carolina.  From their 5,000 ft. high perch, guests congregate in their favorite red, white and blue attire and take part in a series of “Games on the Lawn”.  Tug-of-War is a favorite with a first-place prize given to the winning team.  Guests also join in egg toss (with a raw egg) along with adult and kid egg race (with spoon), sack race and a three-legged race.  Music by the Hill Country Band is performed on the Dog Trot with guests enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner.  Guests gather on the porch to watch fireworks set off over Lake Junaluska following dinner.  Room rates start at $520 with a two-night minimum for this all-inclusive mountaintop hideaway.  For guests who wish to visit for just the evening activities, the cost is $64 per person plus tax and gratuity.  For reservations or more information visit  www.TheSwag.com or call 800.789.7672.

FOURTH FEST ON THE WATER AT THE EDGEWATER

Water skiing shows, bands, beer, brats and burgers highlight The Edgewater’s third annual Fourth Fest.  Taking place on the Saturday (July 1) prior to the Fourth of July, this red, white and blue lakeside celebration features three live bands; beer from seven Wisconsin craft breweries; a lakeside performance of Mad-City Ski team along with a Kid’s Zone with Funny Faces Children’s Entertainment featuring balloon art and face painting.  The festive event held on The Edgewater’s Grand Plaza overlooking Lake Mendota takes place from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Featured bands include Moonhouse from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Hometown Sweethearts from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and The People Brothers Band from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Revelers also enjoy homegrown Wisconsin brews from Door County Brewing Co., Mob Craft Beer, Once Barrel Brewing Company, O’so Brewing Company- Tap House, Potosi Brewing Company, Vintage Brewing Company and Wisconsin Brewing Company.  The event is free and open to the public with cash bar and grill.  The Edgewater’s Fourth Fest room’s package features a Terrace King or Queen room overlooking The Grand Plaza, a bucket of beer upon arrival and an appetizer in Augie’s Tavern.  Rates start at $399 per night, offer is for a two-night minimum.  For further information or to make a reservation, call 608.535.8200 or visit www.theedgewater.com.
