Madison, WI – – August 29, 2017 – – The Edgewater Hotel is Madison’s place for game day this season as it unveils parties and special guestroom packages that are sure to score a touchdown with football fans.
Located just minutes from The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Camp Randall Stadium, The Edgewater’s Grand Plaza offers Badger enthusiasts a lively outdoor setting on the shores of Lake Mendota for Game Day parties.
The Edgewater’s third annual season of game day celebrations offer locals and Madison visitors the opportunity to enjoy brunch, parking and shuttle rides, favorite tailgate fare, cold brews and music.
New this year is live, onsite pre-game broadcasts from ESPN Wisconsin Game Day in Augie’s Tavern. The Game Day series kicks off Friday, September 1, with Madison favorite The Jimmys.
In addition, The Edgewater offers a parking/shuttle package (either individual games or a season pass) that includes parking for the day, a shuttle to and from Camp Randall, and a complimentary beer or bloody Mary for the shuttle ride. The round-trip shuttle begins running two hours before kickoff and departs approximately every 20 minutes. Return shuttles continue for two hours after the game concludes.
For 11am and 2:30pm games, the resort offers a pre-game brunch at The Statehouse, pre-game tailgate in Augie’s Tavern with ESPN Wisconsin Game Day and music post-game on The Grand Plaza. For evening games (typically 7 pm), the resort offers a pre-game celebration including brunch and tailgate with music, food and drink all on The Grand Plaza. All game day events are free and open to the public, with food and beverage available for purchase.
UW-Madison fans and alumni who make their weekend base at The Edgewater can enjoy a special Wisconsin Alumni Package that includes a 15% savings on the hotel’s best available rate.
