No longer in a dry county, The Swag welcomes guests for first Oktoberfest on September 14
Waynesville, NC (8/2017) —The Swag, a 14-room mountaintop hideaway in North Carolina, will host its first annual Oktoberfest on Thursday, September 14. The Mountaintop Polka “ Oompah” band will perform and a bountiful Oktoberfest buffet prepared by Executive Chef Jake Schmidt will be served. Dishes include wursts,spӓtzle, sauerbraten, sauerkraut, German potato salad and braised pork shank.
The Oktoberfest celebration is included in the all-inclusive rate for guests. For non-hotel guests who wish to attend Oktoberfest, held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., the cost is $64 per person.
Rates at The Swag start at $520 per night, with a two-night minimum, and are available through November 25th. All prices include a hearty breakfast, picnic lunch, evening social hour on the front porch with hors d’oeuvres, four-course dinner and welcome gift. Suite and Cabin accommodations also available.
