Trek Verve+ and Domane+ LT Debut on Spring 2020 Trips; Ebike Popularity Continues to Grow

Madison, WI (12/20/2019) – Starting in the spring of 2020, bicycling vacation company, Trek Travel will offer a new fleet of electronic-assisted bikes (or ebikes). The Trek Verve+ will be offered complimentary on all leisure, recreational and active U.S., European and Japanese bicycling vacations where ebikes are permitted and the Domane+ LT will be available on select trips.

In the past two years, Trek Travel has seen a 100 percent increase in guests requesting ebikes.   “Since 2009, we have offered complimentary ebikes to our guests, but in the past few years the requests have more than doubled,” says Trek Travel President Tania Burke. “The active cyclist and the recreational cyclist can now enjoy a cycling vacation together and that’s a great thing.”

The Verve+ is an ebike built for an ultra-smooth, comfortable ride.  It’s an ideal choice for anyone who wants to keep up with friends or family on longer routes or needs a boost up hills.  The design features wide tires for stability, a low-step frame for easy on and off, and a full-color handle-bar mounted kiosk display for monitoring battery power, performance and more.  The Trek Verve+ Ebike was selected for bicyclists who appreciate an extra boost when bicycling.

The Domane+ LT combines the best of the race-built and award-winning Domane endurance bike with a slight pedal-assist ideal for climbing the toughest of hills.  This bike is designed differently than most ebikes as it primarily functions as a road bike ready to take the lead, but on the toughest hills or strongest headwinds, a boost is added with the electric feature.  It is designed for strong riders who want to tackle most terrain on their own but can use a little help in tough spots. The Domane+ LT will be available with an upgrade fee on select trips.
