Debuts Wellness Vacations in Palm Springs & Portugal

Madison WI – – May 16, 2019 – – Trek Travel has partnered with Yogascapes to debut new wellness vacations in Palm Springs and Portugal that weave cycling adventures with rise and shine yoga classes, pre- & post-ride recovery stretches, myofascial release and more.

Yogascapes – the leader in wellness retreats – has curated a small team of wellness experts around the world to lead these handcrafted adventures alongside Trek Travel’s experiential team. Local instructors in each region are handpicked to create a transformative experience.

The two new itineraries are part of Trek Travel’s expanded Wellness Collection designed for travelers who want to combine cycling and general wellness practices that celebrate the mind, body and soul.

In addition to Palm Springs and Portugal, Trek Travel’s Wellness Collection includes Blackberry Mountain, California Wine Country Luxury, Japan, New Mexico, and Ojai to Santa Barbara.

Each retreat is designed to include biking, yoga, and local cultural experiences so that guests are completely immersed in their chosen landscape.

Palm Springs Yogascapes Bike Tour

Guests will cycle past towering mountains, spiky cacti, bright succulents, and palm trees in Joshua Tree National Park on this five-day, four-night adventure.

Pre-and post-biking yoga, a trip on the Aerial Tramway to discover the majesty of the San Jacinto Mountains, guided architecture tours by bike and soaking in local hot springs are featured as well as relaxing at the Colony Palms Hotel – an iconic desert retreat since the 1930s.

Portugal Yogascapes Bike Tour

Guests will enjoy daily yoga classes with a local Yogascapes certified instructor when not touring Roman temples in towns like Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where city walls and ruins of Roman baths still remain.

Other trip experiences include flying over the Alentejo wine region in a hot air balloon, cycling toward the Spanish border through vineyard-lined roads and quiet country lanes surrounded by olive and cork trees, and fields of wheat, and a wine and olive oil tasting in the village of Borba.

Guests will relax at Alentejo Marmoris Hotel & Spa, a marble palace set in the historic village of Vila Vicosa.
